Hello Eddie,

I own & tow with a mondeo,2007 2.0lt 140hp (ghia model)max tow weight 1800 Kg nose weight 85 Kg.

I tow a swift challenger 460 se Mtplm 1284.

I cant find fault with the car it ticks all the boxes, fuel consumption is 42/45 solo & arround 30/32 dependent on terrain & how heavy you are with the right foot !!

I find that the caravan behaves well when in tow,all in all I find the outfit a stable tow, good road holding etc.

My friend also tows with a mondeo zetec 130hp,he has nothing but praise for the mondeo too,he tows a 6 berth Avondale dart.

A large cabin area makes for a pleasent relaxing journey, whilst a large boot gives plenty of room for kit.

cheers

Al

Hi Eddie

I have towed my Swift Challenger 480 (1400kg MPTLM) with a Mondeo 2.2 (155bhp) Diesel for the past 4 years. It has plenty of power and torque and is a very stable towcar. It is also a delight to drive solo.

Cheers

Hi

I have a 130 TDCI zetec s 6speed and tow an Abbey Aventura 317 fixed bed the mptlm is 1350kgs according to tow car web site its an 83% match it tows really well. When on motorways i get it in 5th gear set the cruise control at 60mph and just let it do it.The Mondeo does this with little effort, solo i get between 43mpg & 47mpg, towing 35mpg.The longest trip ive done with it towing was from Great Yarmouth to North Cornwall without any problems .

Regards Phil
