We stayed there August Bank Holiday the year before last.
Very clean,well kept site,no shop or pub within 20 mins walk.For us a bit regimented,vans on the lakeside had to have the rear of the van facing the lake so not much of a view.The warden definitely had her favourites who got the pick of the pitches and the regulars appeared to rule the roost,though I have heard she may have retired by now and things may be different.Some train noise at the rear of the site but not a main line so not very early or late.Quiet apart from that,just opposite Srensall Common for dog walking though that is used by the army as a firing range,not while we were there so cannot comment on how noisy that can be,no public transport within 20 mins walk,though easy access to a Park and Ride.Fishing cheap at
