Moorview caravan park Modbury

Has anybody been, and what did you think.

We had a look around on Sunday and liked what we saw. Have booked up for new year

Hi Trucker, Been many times over the past few years, it is a adult only site of course, but a really nice site run by very nice and obliging people. Many fully serviced pitches on hard standings with all the usual facilities, the owners wife does a splendid fish and chip take away on Fridays.

Super pub/restaurant very local to site with a well-equiped Spar in the local garage.

One word of warning though, the road to the site from the A38 (the B3196) is in places rather narrow in places and extreme care is needed when towing.

We stayed in June last year, the approach road is very narrow in places so care is needed when towing.

The site is nice but we were extremely concerned about the distance between 'vans, there were only about 3m between us and the vans on either side and at the rear which is very narrow compared to other sites. it appeared to us that the touring side had been 'squashed up' to make room for 'rental by the week' Lodges.

The local pub/restaurant is a gastro establishment and was fully booked the week we were there so we couldn't try it.

There are excellent eating places in Modbury itself.

Hi Trucker,

We stayed at Moorview for a week a couple of years ago. Nice site with good views and peaceful too.

Would agree with the other comments about the road in from the A38 being very narrow in places, it has very high hedging and is also a bus route (as we found out)

You may want to practice on your reversing skills just in case!
