motor mover manual engagement hex shaft snapped

Hi all, I have a slight problem, The motormover hex shaft has snapped on the right mover this was caused by the wrench not extending, The thing is that when i disengage the left side the right motor stays against the wheel which means i cannot go anywhere. Could anyone suggest how to get the right mover free from the wheel?

Hi Abbey Owner
From your post I take it that you do not have an actuator bar fitted between your 2 mover motors, this allows the mover to be used from either side as it moves both sides at once.I wonder whether you could fit one and then operate the right mover at the same time as the left.?

It is the manual one and the bar is fitted. On the website it states that both movers can be moved from one side of the caravan but my right one is stuck.

If you have a powrtouch mover and it is still within warranty, ring them and get an engineer to come to you to fix it.
If the right hand side hex shaft has broken, thenthe motor will not disengage until the mover is dropped from the chassis and manually reset whilst the hex shaft is replaced.

it isn't in warranty I picked it up for £200 has worked until I tried disengaging and then snapped the hex bolt off.

You should still contact Powrtouch as they do out of warranty repairs as well, although this will obviously cost.
