Motor Vehicle Insurance - Which Company ???

Returning to the UK from Australia in May and i have purchased a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.0 Diesel problem i am having is with being in the land of Oz i have lost touch with the old UK companies names and after looking on the internet i would say i hardly know any of hem except for the likes of Allianz, Zurich etc.
You now have the likes of Post Office, Kwik Fit, Tesco, Asda Etc.
I got a quote from a company called One Call Insurance but when i done a search reviews of them they did not come back as being very reliable.??
Best quote i have is from Liverpool-Victoria for 465GBP, cover is for the car at 8000 plus all the legal cover, NCB protected and hire car etc........is this reasonable as i am out of touch somewhat.
Can any members let me know the names of any old school companies still in operation.

Have a look on here and use the comparison sites. For breakdown cover join the Caravan Club and then join Mayday as it covers the caravan also.
 
Liverpool Victoria LV is what used to be Frizzell. If you or a close family member are or have been a civil servant postmen etc. then you may be able to join Civil Service Motoring Association and get a good discount from LV
