We are Kiwis planning our 2026 European Motorhome holidays, purchasing a Motorhome through the UK Personal Export Scheme, UK registered with export plates. An item we need help with is finding an insurance company who will insure our motorhome and travels as non-residents.

Any advice or contacts would be greatly appreciated

You'll need a UK "residential" address to get insurance - an address of a friend who can contact you during your travels and who is reliable enough to pass on any correspondence to you.

There used to be lots of Kiwis parked up around Earls Court so it must be possible. 😂

I concur Roger’s advice. Enjoy your forthcoming trip.

You can possibly try through an insurance on the European Continent if you have difficulty in the UK. When I picked up my export home delivery car in the UK I had it insured through an insurance broker in Germany because I also didn’t have an address in the UK. On the Continent you only have to give them an address through which you can be reached. You don’t have to actually live there. A co-operative dealer will suffice. I think Jessen was the name of the broker that I used and they had offices in Hamburg, but I can’t find them anymore by Googling.
