Hi Paul

I can't comment from personal experience as I've only been via Brenner motorway/pass and St Gotthard Tunnel and St Gotthard Pass. I was towing our 7.2 'van on those routes.

If it's any help the CC "Caravan Europe" Guide (2009) has a very helpful section listing all of the European passes and tunnel. It says of the Montgenevre Pass

"Max gradient 9%. Usually open. Minimum road width 5m (16'5"). An easy, modern road(N94/S24) with some tight hairpin bends on the French side; road widened and tunnels improved on Italian side. Much used by lorries; may be necessary to travel at their speed and give way to large, oncoming vehicles on hairpins."

I hope this helps.
