What it needs is a proper blanking cap to cap it off.

Most sensible thing is to get a gas certified engineer to do it, an do it right.

A shut off valve is not allowed on a disused ga pipe, it HAS to be capped or removed fully

HI thanks just to let you know my local dealer removed the t pice from the underside of van and replaced it with a straight trough pice wich he told me was safer but i did not know that a corgi reg fitter can not do this it as to be a lpg specialist well thats what dealer told me?

The dealer is quite right.

Not every Gas Safe engineer can work on LPG, they have to be LPG certified in addition.

Caravan engineers who are ACOPS qualified are qualified to work on LPG as that is the specific course they undertake. ACOPS however only qualifies for work on privately owned and used caravans and motorhomes.

For Static caravans and caravans used for hire or reward the engineer must be Gas Safe and LPG certified
