It may be useful to know the make model and year of theTerry’s caravan.Latest Caravans rely heavily on 12v so that should have a bearing on the final choice
2012 Lunar Quasar 544 Dusty. Present battery only 3+ years old, and shows only 15% an Avon battery. Very diverse ideas and suggestions on here. If I could find a battery that first fits the battery box that can handle my criteria and was lighter! for a tad over £200, that would be a good outcome.

I imagine your Lunar will have a “standard “ size pre-made battery box.

At the end of the day it’s all about cost and life span.

As I said before my Numax 120 AH lasted nearly 10 years . The latest 130AH ‘wet’ Numax is 5 years old and in good nick. Nothing fancy , just a middle of the road battery that has built up a reliability over the years.

You have to ask exactly what do you want from the battery?

PrfJohn. We go Off-Grid quite a bit and I've put a 120 Solar Panel on the Roof. Pretty standard eqipment otherwise. The mover is required coming off, but more importantly getting back on our drive.
That information doesn't change my answer, but it does point to your need to have an adequate caravan battery to cope with your nightime of grid needs.

It's time to replace our Leisure Battery ? 100 Ah minus as we use our Mover regularly. Several different types available now I believe ? Advices invited thank you.
I had a Banner 110Mah as standard on our big 2021 Bailey twin axle Alicanto Grande Faro which was factory fitted as standard. Replaced under warranty as failed after less than a month. Second Banner failed just under a year later. Put my old 130Mah 'snappy' brand which I purchased for my old 2009 swift conqueror a few years ago and it's still going strong. If I recall I paid about £70 delivered off ebay. I must admit I was sceptical about the budget snappy brand but it's worked for me. Also bearing in mind the Banner which is a so called premium brand would have cost me around £220. Long and short though all batteries

Banner, the "Energy Bull" that is the leisure version, needs maintaining as they "use" water.
IME they are otherwise an excellent battery. If not into maintaining them then they will be the wrong choice, sadly not a point made by some retailers. I expect them having caps, that need to maintain is not self evident to some buyers.

On my last caravan I had an Energy Bull with its removable screw caps, but I only topped it up twice in three years. When not on the caravan being used it sat at home plugged in to my CTEK. Surprised to read in an earlier post of Banner failures after a short while, but doesn't state what Banner they were.

On a boring wet Saturday afternoon I couldn’t resist Google.
As far back as 2017 Banner batteries get a very favourable rating by users.

The one and only gripe is that they need regular topping up as mentioned earlier.

They are not top drawer price but used correctly appear to give long service. I’ve never had one but from what I have read I wouldn’t be too dismissive. Give a dog a bad name etc😉
