New Ford Galaxy

I have recently bought a new Ford Galaxy 1.8 Tdci (125bhp) 5 speed manual but have been very disapointed with it's towing abilities. It seems to 'judder' when moving off from standstill and almost feels as though the clutch is on the way out. I don't know whether this is a 'characteristic' of the car or if it just a 'bad 'un' as the car has had to go back to dealer for a number of aother faults to be rectified. Has anybody else had similar experiences?. My caravan is a 2005 Sterling Europa 540.

We test drove a 1.8tdci S-max which seemed ok before we bought a 2.0 (the 1.8 has a much lower towing limit, if Ford were putting their 2.2 into the S-max we would have bought that).

If you rear the reader reviews of the S-max on What Car's website, it seems to be the 1.8 tdci that has suffered from most faults
