New Ford Kuga - any opinions?

Just seen a new Ford Kuga on the road today so have been reading up on it, must say the figures are impressive, towing capacity is 2100kg, green credentials so not hard on the road tax 169g c02 £170 with a 44mpg. Anyone out there towing with one? would appreciate your thoughts and opinions

spotted one a few days ago in metalic grey and it did look nice. Styling will probably not suite all but as you say the figures are impressive as well.

Check out the Volvo XC60 due soon , they look an awful lot alike but the Volvo will be

Like the Volvo XC60, the Kuga is based on the Ford Focus platform modified for 4wd. Initial magazine road tests say the on-road handling is good, as you'd expect from Ford.

Yet another entrant in the small/medium SUV sector.

The max tow quoted might be 2100Kg but the 85% kerbweight figure is 1371Kg, so it looks OK for towing medium sized vans, but nothing more than that!

85% kerbweight makes it in excess of 1600kgs kerbweight.More than adequate for pulling most vans just wish they had put a higher powered diesel engine in i.e the new 2.2 175bhp would have been good.
