new granite look sink

Hi I have already contacted swift about the new look sink and apparently they stated it would fit but it would have to be ordered through a swift dealership as an aftermarket sale but couldnt state how much it would cost.

Certainly got to be better than the stainless steel one fitted in our van with its protruding screws which only cheapens the look of the kitchen area let alone catching fingers and jay cloths on the screws.

I complained at the time re this to know avail. The caravan magazine in one of there reveiws also commented on the screws and commented on the design. Swift stated they had no plans to change the sink units but less than one year on and a brand new sink design apears which we now have to pay for, very coincidental.

cheers

We had a look at the 2010 model to compare our 2009 570 and noticed that the plastic chopping board didn't fit the new sink properly. I didn't like the new upholstery colours

Thanks for info on sink

Hi,

It is possible to purchase the GRP sink, used on some 2010 Swift Group products, as a separate item.

However, it should be noted that the bowl is not a direct replacement for the stainless steel version. A 2009 worktop aperture for the bowl may need to be opened, to allow the bowl to sit correctly, and the drainer and chopping board will need to be modified, again, to allow them to nest correctly together and sit on the bowl correctly.

Thanks,

Ash

Here what you are saying about the screws but you only see them when you wash up after that we fit the white chopping board, then you can't see the screws so l think l will stick with the stainless sink, after all only look at it for about 20 minute a day when washing up.

It serves its purpose for what it was designed for.

:O) I'm still laughing at this thread, it's a caravan you have and a sink.

"GRP Granite look" not exactly a fashion statement, and GRP can be chipped and fractured.

Vanity taken a step to far!

Thanks for the comments about the sink fitting

We don't use the drainer or chopping board as we prefer a round tray in the sink top when its not in use and that dies as the drainer as well

Could you explain how the sink fits in as the screws don't seem visible underneath

As to the adverse comments we just don't like stainless steel and prefer the looks of the new smooth finish sink

But hey nobody is asking you to buy one!!

Elbow grease is cheap
