New hitch/stabiliser

Hi all, i have a 1995 Elddis cyclone and was wondering if i could change the tow hitch to a Alko 3004 Stabiliser, as i have a new car and want to fit a detachable tow bar instead of having a fixed one.

Many thanks.

Hi Nigel,

My brother-in-law is in the process of doing the same on his 1997 Swift Challenger, and a detachable towbar on his car.

Waudbys is the cheapest we have found so far on the internet to purchase the Alko AKS 3004 hitch, it comes in a three pack deal which includes the hitch, hitchlock, and towball, you won't need the towball if you are using a detachable towball so you could sell it if you want.

The price at Waudbys at the moment is

You dont need to go to all that expense. Bulldog make an adaptor that clamps around the detachable swan neck towbar to allow you to to use your old blade type stabilizer. I've been using this set-up for years.
