I cannot tell you for sure, but a visit to TUNIT supported vehicles and a call to John Parker at TUNIT will answer that one. However, I would have thought the answer was 'yes'. How much more the 2.5 litre CRDI engine can give is questionable. Clearly the 'old' model was highly de-tuned at 138 bhp; but the new version extracts much more power (as does the TUNIT box); so there may be little if anything more to give ?
I agree with John that it probably could be further tuned. As I understand it the increased power of the new engine is achieved by the Variable Geometry Turbo.I have not towed with mine yet, but solo it is much improved on the 138bhp engine.
hello, just read your thread,i think a safe bet is to say 25% of your now power would be availible on top of what you,ve already got with a plug in.i think the extra power is due to GEN.3 common rail(higher fuel pressure ,2500bar )as were now on euro 4/
