Hello there from Scotland, we too are new to towing, just started last year after years of static caravaning and we love it.

We met a really nice and helpful guy from Wales (pity we did not get his name) ! and he saved us from divorce on our first trip when we where attempting to put our awning up!

hi everbody thanks for welcome , hoping to pick up some tips in future, wish you knew that welshmans name , could do with help putting my porch awning up , no instructions with it and no poles marked . its a half awning or large porch. dorema tens.brian

like you we were tenters for three years and now are caravanners. just love it, away every other weekend and love winter caravaning. lets hope the fuel will start to drop. we just go to nearer sites now so we can go out more. we have met some lovely people on our travels and expect to meet many more. by the way join the ccc and the bcc great away weekends at very good pitch prices. regards to your troop and hope to meet some day

hi, sian , yes we joined caravan club , and stopped on one of their sites in the lake district last week, i know it takes a lot of deisel , but it was well worth it !!!!!love that part of the country .brian

glad to hear it, every trip out is different we love it and these days go closer to home to save fuel. we like to go every other weekend if we can and spend as little as possible, and we still have a great time every time. we take our own food and booze and wish for sunshine ha ha all the best in your travels

hi sian , glad the fuel price is dropping as off to france , in two weeks, driven abroad for 25 years , but never towed , so just going to west brittany, 60 miles from roskoff, as first trip, are the rest off you newbies!!! braving the continent. brian

did you have a good time in france? we went to west wales and boy did it rain. we now have gills and webbed feet but it still was lots of fun and alot dryer than a tent

hi , sian , yes had a great time in brittany , fab beaches , but only two nights was it warm enough to sit out in the evening.no prob towing abroad , in fact a lot easier than the madness of uk roads.so sorry that you had a wet visit to wales but it looked pretty general all over the uk. we dont have suntans in wales we have rust !!!
