Hi there,

my name is Pat and my wife (pauline)and our two kids have been caravaning now for five years. We started with a cheepie outfit to provide us with a roof while we were at cycling competitions around the country ( it leaked like a sieve ). We got bitten by the bug and now own a 2004 Ranger 510/4L, which we hope to take to France in 2008.

We used to hire a static van but came to our senses and decided to go mobile and see the rest of the country,and what a pleasure it has been.

Welcome to the Forum, I hope you will pop in often and read the threads, we are a happy bunch (most of the time)!

Great choice of van (Bailey), get out as often as you can and relax and enjoy the sites around the country.

We are thinking of going to France next summer, where are you thinking of heading in France?

We and some close friends who also caravan are planning to go somewhere near St Malo, don't know exatcly yet as we only started planning for it last month, so any advice about ferries and sites is welcome .
 
I believe the CC do good deals on ferries, and you could do a google or similar search for campsites.
