Welcome, Gary.
Are you planning to stick to the UK, or take Jeanie over the Channel?
Either way, one of the things you'll notice is how easy TOURING is in a motorhome. Staying on a campsite for a week or more will soon become frustrating, as you don't (usually) have a separate vehicle to potter around in.
So the trick is, play to the motorhome's strengths. Don't regard the place where you sleep as your "destination," or the place you "spend" your holiday. Instead, use the van to do the things you want to do, visit the places you want to see, during the day, then find somewhere to stay the night before doing mroe different things the next day.
And it doesn't have to involve campsites all the time - it's easier in some Continental countries of course, but even here, Nightstops (open to all, listed on this website), Britstops (always free, but you have to join), and truck-stops (especially transport cafés) will all make you welcome.
Enjoy yourselves!
