Newbies 1 year on

Took early retirement last year and bought our first ever caravan, a coachman Vip 545 fixed island bed.Spent 7 months travelling round Europe from May to December going as far south as Rome.Had a fantastic time love our van and caravaning and cant wait to set off again in April. We have had so much help and advice from the very generous people on this forum that it would all have been so much harder without it.We had several non serious and hilarious mishaps on route and collected a few minor scrapes but so much fun.

We are Cliff and Carolyn and a 12 year old collie x called Bella

Hi Cliff & Carolyn

It's nice to hear from you.

It's good to know that you are enjoying your retirement in such a positive way.

Have you thought about writing a blog or magazine article about your wanderings? I bet it would make a great read.

Carolyn and Cliff, you must have some great stories to share with us. I love to read about adventures like yours.Welcome home for a while anyway.I am sure you will soon be "orf" again.

All sounds really wonderful. Like TC, I would love to hear some of your stories. Why not start a thread. You got as far as Rome.....so only one thing puzzles me, why did you come back to Blighty for the winter?!

all the best

Thanks for the welcome, we came back because our 23 yr old daughter wanted us home for Christmas and to be fair we both have very elderly mothers who needed to see us!

I did write 2 general e-mails to send to friends re our adventures but would have no idea how to put them on line or on the forum if it was appropriate, everyone seemed to have had a laugh and enjoyed reading them (or so they said.)

Cant wait to set off again in April.
