Hello Gullitt.

We have been going to Newperran every year since 1995 & love it.

New owners bought the site 7 years ago Keith & Christine & they are absolutely fab.It is a very friendly family site spotless clean. They have spent alot of money over the past 7 years on the site improving the facilities refurbishing every toilet block 4 in total & this year have done the swimming pool, christine sent me a picture of the pool a few weeks ago & it looks lovely.

They have a pub on site called the cottage inn which during the season has entertainment about 3 nights but its not like a club house. 2 members of Eddison Lighthouse are there resident band there once a week playing the good old 70's music.

There are 2 playgrounds for children 1 just for toddlers & also a games room, a shop & a cafe with take away on site. The site is very secure with a barrier system with number plate recognition & cctv around the site. Its only about 3 miles to Perranporth & about 7 to Newquay with all the good beaches our favourite is Crantock Beach. It is very central & so within easy reach of any where in Cornwall for days out. The site is very spacious with mostly perimeter pitches apart from i think 2 fields. The pitches are good size plenty of room for awning car etc We book on a super pitch for direct water & waste ( getting lazy in me old age he he im only 46 )

Its right off the main road down a country lane & then up its own private driveway so you dont hear any traffic at all

I hope you will enjoy it as much as we do & cant wait till week on Friday the 18/07 when we will be there for 2 weeks. Were always sad to leave the place.

Best Regards & lets hope the weather picks up.

Sorry if ive gone on a bit but i just love it there

Hi Gullitt,

Agree with everything David says, we visited there in August 2006 and loved the site. Nice big pitches because they're on large fields, as the site used to be a farm. We also had a super pitch, so i'm as lazy as David, but i'm only 36!

I'd love to go back there again, but we're trying France this year.

Our favourite beach was also Crantock, but i'd advise getting there early, ie no later than 10.30 - 11.00, as it does get very busy in holiday season. If you're a member of the National Trust, the car park is free.

As David says, it is in easy reach of lots of attractions in Cornwall.

Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did,

Lara & Ken
