Hi Dave

Not sure how near to Lands End you want to be but I can highly recommend Ayr Holiday Park in St Ives. We go there at least twice a year. It has superb views over Porthmear beach and the Tate gallery. It's only 10 min walk into the town and harbour and there are some nice pubs and restaurants.

Have a look at there website, just Google it.

I can fully recommend the C.andC.C. site at Sennen Cove.

Good views from pitches at top half of site.

Nice clean toilet block, 16 amp electric hook ups.

There are about 6 hardstandings down one side, rest of pitches on well kept grass.

Good dog walks from site without going onto the roads.

Nice pub by beach in Sennen Cove, one mile away, which is dog friendly.

You're right Dave Ayr is not the cheapest but as it's the only site actually in St Ives I guess they can charge what they want.

On saying that they are always busy when we go so that must say something for it.

The wife and I love St Ives so much, it's like a second home, so we're willing to pay their price.

Hope you have a great time which ever site you choose.

Regards

Mike

We stayed at a really nice C&CC 5 van at Mawgan. It is handy for many tourist attractions and very nice pub in the village. The site is on a bus route to Helston. The owner is very helpful.

Landare Mawgan Helston MR203/707254.

On A394 from Helston, past Culdrose, at roundabout take A3083 twds St Keverne. After 2 miles take 2nd exit of roundabout signposted Mawgan. Continue 0.5 miles turn right signposted Lower Lane. Site is 50 yards on left.

"nice site near lands end?any ideas?"

Have you tried The Longships - quiet spot - superb sea views run by Trinity House - bit windy at times - subject to flooding.
