set of from exmouth devon last night at 1815,lovely glorious sunshine, two hours later got stuck in traffic on m5 in the rain,did 4 miles in 5 hours then didnt move for 6 hours, overall it took 16 hours to get home to lancashire!!!! this journey normal takes 5 hours. just glad to be home at last!!!

I have been looking at the BBC news on their web site today and it really has been awful for so many people.

Is there anyone on the forum who has been affected?

I wonder how many caravan sites have been put out of action.Usually we in Scotland tend to get pretty awful weather,but this time we seem to have been spared.....thank goodness.

A friend of mine got stuck in the traffic on the way back from Ilfracoombe to the Midlands spent ages going nowhere then got off the M5 and spent night in B&Q car park in Cheltenham they went to bed with permission to stay and were on their own woke at 4am and car park was full as the police had moved people there.
