Nissan Almera suitable for towing ?

Hi All

Just wondered if a Nissan Almera 1.8 sport would be suitable for towing a 13ft 800kg max load 2 berth caravan ?

Very new to this touring and any advise would be greatly appreciated.

This site will allow you to match your car with the actual caravan that you are contemplating towing.

I've had a play and other than the ability to tow well in 5th gear (which is probably down to the petrol engine and a lack overall of low down grunt) you should be alright.

The weights would appear to be fine. Just take it easy and enjoy. Once a 'van is on the back then life takes on a far more measured pace.
