I am looking for some constructive or destructive comments on the above vehice.

I am looking to replace my current V70 with an Aventura spec Pathfinder in May.

I am towing a Series 5 Bailey Senator Oklahoma.

I have not decided 100% yet so any feedback from anybody who has experience with the Pathfinder would be appreciated.

I can't guarantee this as it is second hand, but I was speaking with some Highways Agency patrolmen on the M6 motorway. They use a number of 4x4 vehicles including the pathfinder. Both the patrolmen slatted it for reliablility, which took me by surprise I must admit. They both agreed that the Toyota Landcruiser and Mitsibushi Shogun were the most reliable P.S. They didn't speak to highly of the new disco either.

My son recently bought a new Nissan Aventura (similar beast) and this has spent more time back at the dealers than he has had use of it and certainly more time than his Landcruiser Colorado spent in the garage during his 5 years of ownership.

mmm....not sure !!

v70 had to have new D5 engine at 9500 miles as original dropped a valve into the piston.

Has had a new motor on rear wiper as it wouldn't park properly.

Plus a few other bits and pieces.

I still love it though and I am gutted that it is now out of my price range on company car list, hence looking at the Pathfinder.

I drove one for a week on an extended test drive and was quite impressed. I presumed it would be reliable with Nissan's reputation.

go for the chain cam engine if possible, over the belt cam. usually more reliable.

cant speak for the pathfinder but the dci xtrail is chain cam.
