Hi,

I've been towing with an 2015 Nissan Xtrail 1.6dci for 2 years, my caravan weighs 1370kg fully laden and it tows it no problem.

I live in the North East and I've towed all the way down to Cornwall/Newquay up some quite steep hills no problem.

Cruise control on motorways at 60mph.

I'm pretty sure it's the same engine as the qashqai. I've found it tows better than the 2.0tdi passat I used to own.

I had been thinking about getting a bigger engine car like the santa fe, but why fix whats not broken.

It is possibly dependent on the version and state of tune of the engine.
