I am a little confused , you say it was the cable, but then say it was the EHU post. Glad you got it sorted though.

He says the EHU post 'had an issue , so the faulty hook up cable may have revealed a weak spot in the post's wiring .I have been on sites (mainly CL) where the post 'had seen better days ' and in one, all the wire at the back of the MCBs (dual outlet unit) were frazzled ( a technical term meaning burnt to a crisp )
