no battery power

Hi all

We have an Avondale Dart 556/6 (2004). We have been charging it this week via mains from home - everything working fine. When we unplug the AC power nothing works from the battery (eg. lights, motor mover). I have checked the batery and it is fully charged, checked fuses all ok, checked switch (only one) thats on - but no power. I have tried with a different battery and await the results tis pm.

Anyone got any thoughts on what could be the problem?

We basically need the battery power for the mover. Everything else works fine off mains power.

Thanks

Pete

Peter, this sounds very odd.

The mover is hard wired directly to the battery terminals. so as long as the battery is fully charged then it should work (providing its own in line fuse is ok and the isolation switch is on).

What did you use to check the battery is fully charged?

From your symptoms it would seem that when connected to the mains , your 12v is supplied by the PSU and not the battery.

Have you checked the main battery fuse?

I should have added that unless you have a full l2v then neither mover or lights will work.

This would suggest that there is a battery problem.
