Do Norfolk Line at Dover have a parking area should we arrive early for our 6am ferry in August, or can you suggest a park CL etc nearby?

I will get this first caravanning trip to Germany sorted one day!!

There is no parking for any of the ferry companies at Dover. You'll drive into the dock area, through the French and English passport kiosks, quite likely (although not always) into the security check bay, then into marked lanes for each ferry check-in box. From there, you drive to the numbered loading lanes.
 
check in queue for norfolk line was massive a couple of weeks back , we went with p&o so don't know how quickly it moved....c&p
