Norfolk Lines NEC offer ú58 return car and caravan code

Norfolk Lines crossings from Dover to Dunkerque are now available for £58.00 for many crossings if your outfit is under 12 metres total length, and for not that much more for longer outfits. Just use the code TEF04.

Hi Val

Just been on the ferry site put the code in and the cheapest crossing for a car and caravan i can get a quote for in june is

Yes, sorry it would seem you've missed out. You have to be very quick when these offers become available. Lots of people, from other forums, have been able to book for

I've just booked tonight at 23:00 via the Caravan Club website travelling out on Sunday 6/6/2010 and back on Friday 9/7/2010 - 14:00 both ways. Got the

At most times of the year I would suggest Dunkerque cross-country to Abbeville (through Hesdin), then Rouen, Chartres, Nevers, Clermont Ferrand and then down the A75. However, that's a very high route (highest point as high as Mount Snowdon summit) and you could end up in six feet of snow (like this www.panoramio.com/photos/original/2887076.jpg or this www.panoramio.com/photos/original/2894120.jpg). Our friends got stuck in similar snow at Easter one year and we went through a heavy snowstorm on the A75 at Easter a few years ago, too!

Perhaps someone who's actually done a trip to Spain in December might be better to help out - our trips are usually in May/June or August/September.

thanks Val A. we have been down that way in December ,normally departing from Calais and going around Paris perique , and across the high bridge at the Milau gorge ,as you say you can get snowed in , when we went a few years ago we had light snow ,and temperatures of minus 7 crossing the pyrinees , some friends of ours were snowed in for 2 days in the services ,so we thought we would try an alternative route to Vilanova park ,and try and keep the toll charges down

The journey I outlined can be done almost toll-free - there are a few sections where it's sensible to use the autoroute - around Orleans, for instance, but only for a junction or two. You do have to pay to cross the Millau viaduct, obviously - though if you want you can still do the drive through Millau itself at a little cost in extra time!

We've done the Spanish section to Cambrils without paying tolls, but some sections of it are seriously congested at times.

Hi

Just a cautionary note, we have used Great Satmar Farm for a number of years but for the last couple of years the site has been badly neglected. There is no longer an honesty box and the grass is of an unmanagable length.Even for an overnight stay, we will be looking elsewhere in future.

Have taken the plunge and booked via Caravan Club. Out Sunday 16th May at 10-00 and back 3rd July at 13-00. No problem booking tried several variations on days and times but best times back Sunday look to be already taken. If you put in your preferred times out and back and nothing available press "More" and a list of alternative times is displayed.

We have been travelling to France for 20 years and have always used Brittany Ferries as we live in Devon. But at

Hi. I agree with Chris G. We normally cross Portsmouth to Le Havre. But the difference in price this year is so much that we are also going to Dover and have booked at

Following on from my previous posting on 28th October and some info Val A had left on another thread I rang the Caravan Club this morning explaining I had booked The Norfolk Line deal online. I asked if they still had Camping Cheques available at

I'm glad you've got a bargain Chris - this year these ferry crossings just have to be the cheapest for many many years.

And if you were to use the Camping Cheques at Cambrils Park (for instance) you'd be saving at least 24 euros per night over the published tariff of 37 euros for pitch, and two people!
