The two "Les Castels" sites near Lisieux are both good, Le Brevedent and Le Colombier, as is Le Chateau de Martragny - near Bayeux.

The Lisieux sites are an hour's drive to the beaches, and maybe better for that during the high season, Bayeux less than half that

All have the usual complement of Eurocamp style holiday tents.

And out of season you can use the Les Castels discount card.

Anthony,

There's a very good municipal site, Camp Municipal Avenue de Verdun, in Arromanches Les Bains, 500 metres from the beach and museums etc. The town itself is very nice, and close to Bayeux.

CC member comments "Conv for tapestry, D-Day museums, peaceful, well kept site, helpful & friendly owners, excel welcome"

Lovely quiet site and we visited every beach, plus some Museums, War cemeteries etc. It is amazing how many things from the war are still intact. You could not cover everything in 2 weeks, but it's fun trying.

Let me know if you require any more info.

Mike
