Has anyone been to this site. Plan to take the 6 year old Grandaughter there for a long weekend at the start of the school holidays at the end of July. Have not ventured away from CCC and Forest Holidays sites much on UK trips for the past 4/5 years but the young lady has already been to Normans Bay twice with us and been to the New Forest area 2/3 times with her parents when they have borrowed our caravan (which up until now have been our convenient & reliable places when we do not want too long a tow from Hove)

Am a little unsure about the nature of some of the roads Autoroute wants to take us down once going east of Rye.

Alun

[apologies to any one that has already seen this on the other forum)

We have just returned from a week at Broadhembury,Ashford.Small freindly site,no pool etc but has nice playground and field for games, spotless tolet block-showers have underfloor heating!.

It was a very wet week and some pitches including ours flooded but site staff keen to supply boards steps etc and assist with tow off pitch-we will return there.

Towing thro/around Rye was not a problem for us-we went slowly as it does get a bit narrow on the Strand -where they were holding a fun day complete with many pedestrians crossing haphazardly as only they can!

From Eastbourne it took 1 hr 35 mins to get to the site in Ashford-Romney is not quite so far?

Have fun!
