Nose Weight Confusion

Apologies if this has been asked before! Reading a couple of the latest mags (Caravan/Practical Caravan) they seem to advise that your actual noseweight should be as close to max for your tow car as possible. I have a Discovery 3 TDV6, max noseweight 150 kilo's - for me to achieve this, most of the kit we take would be in the gas locker - or do you include what goes in the boot?

The Al-Ko hitch has a maximum laden weight of 100Kg, this should not be exceeded no matter what the maximum tow ball weight of your vehicle.

Like Steve says, it's the lower of the two limits for car and caravan that counts.
