Nose Weight

Hi everyone,

New to caravanning and having difficulty calculating my outfits nose weight.

I have a Mondeo 2004 TDCI an Eldis Avante 524. I have read my figure should be 7% of my caravans ALW? what is ALW?

Thanks for any advice.
 
ALW is Actual Laden Weight.

7% is an old, now outdated recommendation.

Noseweight should be as heavy as possible but no more than the lowest of the following noseweight limits:- car, towbar, towball, caravan hitch.
