We 'caravanned' holidays in about 1950, didn't have a caravan or a car. Hired a taxi to take us the 60 miles from home to Skegness. (I'm the blond!)View attachment 1888

Remember when the Sally Army, would come around the pub, and the man with the cockles and winkles in the evenings.

I do, growing up in Liverpool that would happen weekly and the got massive respect from everyone.

I also remember the yearly Orange men walk to Southport passing through a Catholic area, but there never seemed to be an issue. Unlike other places.
