Not sure if I want front or rear door

I've decided the layout i would like, front lounge, middle kitchen and washroom, rear fixed bunks and dining area that can be 2 more berths. I would like the door at the front so that it's away from the kids so it doesn't disturb them if we are sat outside after they are in bed. The only layout i have found in a new van is the bailey pursuit but found lots with the door at the rear.
Just wondering if anyone has had this sort of layout and if they found front or rear door was better (or any problems/good things about them)
Thank you :)

I was comparing the Pursuit with the equivalent Venus and came to the same conclusion as you. If you are going to have young children in the caravan the door a should be at the front or there is the danger of the children getting out. We have had children at the back and the door there on other layouts and they have never tried to escape but it is a risk. Possibly you know your own youngsters best so can assess the risk.
Having seen the Pursuit and the Venus at a show recently I did like the Venus overall better though but that is a personal opinion.

I've had both.
Prefeer the door infront of the axle, but i would buy either one. Only issue i had with an back end door was a steady needed to be down or the caravan would tip!

The only new one i've found with a front door is the bailey pursuit but the front beds when set up as singles are quite short, one side only being 5'1. It will mainly be a double but want singles so I don't have to share a bed with my mum when she comes instead of hubby.
