Hi, when you change your tow car do you stick the new number plate over the old one on the back of your caravan?

Current one is stuck on very firmly. I'm concerned if I try to remove it I may damage the shell of the caravan.

We gently prise off the old number plate using fishing line. The alternative is to use a hair dryer, but someone discovered that it was not such a good idea.

I just stick it over the old one. No good reason to remove the old one that I can see. that I can see.

Dental floss used like cheese wire will cut through any sticky pads without causing any damage.

Sticky stuff remover to soften the adhesive. Cut through with dental floss, sticky stuff remover to clean off residue, meths or isopropyl to clean surface before bonding new plate on to caravan.
