omnistor extractor fan leaking

Hi,

We had our first night in our new caravan last night, when I say new it's a 2004 bailey peagant, but new to us.
I was looking forward to the talk of thunder and lightning but of course reality set in and buckets were quickly fetched. We had forgotten to close the lid to the extractor at first which let a fair amount of water in, but once closed there was still a fair amount of drips coming through. Although the weather was bad I didn't expect any ingress, though should I be expecting some in certain weather with this type of vent?

Regards
Lorne

Wait for things to dry out and then check again after the next rain shower (or use a hose pipe but make sure water is falling vertically). There are a lot of ledges around those fans and the after-drips may be from trapped water when the roof was open.

Open the main vent and set the fan on maximum extraction.Lea email for 30 minutes and you should find it dries out. Hopefully you will have no more problems. Do not try reversing the direction of the fan whilst it is still rotating. You will blow the fuse.
