Hi Folks

Just wondering if anyone else out there has a caravan loke ours.

It is a 1983 Compass Rallye 420/2. The reason i ask is we have seen many Rallye's but none of this model. Is ours rare or just not many of this age left? Although it is old, it is in excellent condition, a true tribute to the previous owners.

Any information will be gratefully received.

Thank you

Hamish (Arbroath)

p.s any other Scotties on the forum?

Hi

another Scot here, based in Dunfermline - welcome to the Forum!

we were talking about Arbroath at work this morning, the famous Swankies of Arbroath - cue much sniggering and twisting of the word Swankies! Sad, I know.

kind regards

Welcome to the forum Hamish. Although I am not Scottish I am a Celt (south Wales). Between the Scots and Welsh on this forum I think there are enough of us now to over run the English infidels and teach them a thing or to as we are not a force to be sniffed at.

As an Englishman, I am drawn to the inevitable conclusion that, we as a race, can be very thankful indeed to the tremendous fighting abilities of our Celtic neighbours. Particularly the magnificent Scottish Regiments who have served so tirelessly and bravely through so many conflicts. May I thank our close neighbours (Welsh and Scots) through this forum. We know you love to hate us but when the chips are down- you are always there. Scotland in the caravan for us next year. West coast all the way up and as much as we can do!!

Thats fine, but who will pay for your weapons and transport?

Hi

sorry for delay, had a couple of days off so not been in front of a computer. My partner phoned round a few places including Flear & Thomson, but she said they just weren't interested in doing a deal - so after spending approx 2 hours being brow-beaten in Arnold Clark Honda in Kirkcaldy over a CRV, we ended up at Arnold Clark Kia in Kirkcaldy and have purchased a new Sportage! Got a pretty good deal too. the Sorrie was just too big for our needs. Cheers for asking, I'll let you know how we go with the Sportage. Mark (",)

Hi Hamish,

Although I am English,I have lived in Scotland for over 40 years so think I am entitled to be an "honorary" Scot.We are just north of Glasgow.

There is also Scotch lad who hails from Edinburgh.

We could all form a little army if the need arises !!)
