Tracy, Did you see my previous reply suggesting the municipal at Ste Maure de Touraine?

What time does your ferry dock?

Are you osing the A158 / A28 / A138 from Caen to Tours and the A10 or RN10 from Tours to Bordeaux?

DEpends where your arriving in France. We went to Mezos in the summer form St Malo - and that is easily done within the day. Arrived on site by 6pm and that is about 3/4 hour further south.

We went back via Caen this year. So allow about 9 hours driving - not including stops. Easiest wayis to use the completed autoroutes via Avranches, Rennes, Nantes and Bordeaux.

Only payage from Nantes to Bordeaux cost I think about 25 Euros, but dual carriage way all the way and Autoroute except the section Rennes to Nanates.

As to where to stop I have no knowledge of Calvados but would suggest looking towards Avranches/ Rennes so not too far off the ferry

Hi Tracy

I did this route this year. but from LeHarve.

Head straight down to tours on N158. campsite St catherine de feirbois, www.feirbois.com motorway nearly all the way about 180 miles, St Catherine is not far off the A10 motorway route, should take you about 4hours.

Then back on the motorway to Biscarrose, again motorway nearly all the way should take about 4hours again excuding stops.

The toll from St Catherine to Bordeaux was 29.50euros I thought that ws pretty good. The other tolls were very few euros.

If you want a copy of our route I can post or email you.
