Overwhelmed by Choice

Hi, we are new to caravanning and looking to buy a used caravan from a dealer ideally no older than 2019.
But we have looked at so many, we now have analysis paralysis and are overwhelmed. We know exactly the layout we want and other must haves.

But we can't decide which would be best, Swift Sprite Major 560/Vogue (dealer special) EB, Bailey Phoenix 640+, Adria Dart all of these we can get newer models for our £20k or go older than we would like with a Bailey Unicorn Cabrera.
How do you decide? All of these meet our needs and can be comfortably towed by our X3, we keep returning to the Swift and the Bailey and then we see the others.

That’s a good selection but the decision has to be yours. Adria (and Coachman) seem to have better results when annual surveys are conducted. But all makes may or may not suffer problems, that just have to be tackled. Advice is pay some (over £100) or all deposit by credit card as you get protection under the CCA Section 75 rules. If possible buy under finance from dealer as then finance house has responsibility and you can get redress if things turn sour even if loan is repaid quickly. Lastly caravan warranty isn’t like a cars you can’t get it addressed by any dealership only the supply dealer. So a purchase locally can make life easier. Hopefully it’s a smooth ride, but if nasties do arise and dealer doesn’t help then read up on CRA2015 via Which website.

My brother has just gone through a similar situation. He started off looking for a caravan, maybe 10 years old with an island side bed, 4 berth , for MAX, £10k.
His car is a 2017 Tucson,
Towing is not a problem, so he gets a towbar fitted, then looks for a van, ends up with a Swift Archway Challenger 560. End island bed, somewhere around £18k.
Storage place, finds one £130 per 1/4.

All bits and pieces, Battery, gas bottle, Pigtail ( He didn't haggle with them ) tow hitch and new AlKo lozenge, there wasn't one with the van, don't know about aqua roll and waste hog.
Pots pans, plates, new TV, wow before you know it another £1500 spent.
He said he has bought an awning carpet but hasn't mentioned the awning.

Going next Wednesday with him to Cambridge C&CC for 3 nights to help him set up. Then we are off home, w don't like big sites especially at bank holidays.

You may have already done this, but if you have only looked online, make sure you physically go into each one on your shortlist. Sit on the seats, lie on the bed, open all the cupboards and lockers and work out which of your stuff might go where. If you have already done this and you are buying second hand then go with Condition and warranty. Full recent damp check and a dealer that is not too far away for warranty work.
