We stayed here for the first week of August last year. Overall the site is fine. It absolutely belted down for the week that we were there which did spoil it, but you cant do anything about the weather. We stayed on pitch 5 which was the nearest to the play area as we have 2 children who were then 3 and 4 which is great as you have got a good view of them, but they are grass pitches and by the end of the week it was like a mud bath. There is a small bar on site which is not open on Mondays and Thursdays. The shower/toilet facilities are clean but could do with a bit of a spruce up.
There is no beach within walking distance, you have to take the car to whereever you want to go even to a shop/chip shop/takeaway. I know you say Amroth but it is quite a way from Amroth definately not walking distance. Saundersfoot is about a 15 minute drive. Narberth is closer.
To be honest I would not rush back there as it is a bit out on a limb but it all depends on what you are looking for.
