We are sailing from Portsmouth to St malo on the night ferry,we are traveling down from lancs to portsmouth, how long do we need to arrive before ferry sails for checking in?

Also is there parking at portsmouth to wait once we get there if its to early?any other tips regarding the journey would be good as its our first time and the closer it gets the more questions we seem to be coming up with ta

Generally the ferry operators want you there about 45 minutes before sailing - and the details should be on your booking confirmation somewhere. There is parking at the port - and if you arrive early you'll be able to park up and use the facilities in the terminal building.

We've done Portsmouth/Caen, - and enjoyed the sailing. We were with Brittany Ferries, and found their on-board facilities were good - meals, etc. The cabins were good - and had everything you needed - pillows, sheets, etc., but take your hairdryer and an adaptor, and if you want to make a drink then take your kettle and things with you.
