PCv competitors

I’m curious.
What other caravan journals , magazines , websites and Forums do people subscribe to other than PCv?

Caravan Talk, and Motorhome Facts are two other forums I visit, and I buy the odd MMM (Motorhome & Motorcaravan Monthly) magazine but their subscription is a bit steep so I look and see what's in it before shelling out the best part of eight quid.

Dare I ask you may be another moving to the dark side😉

None - I got kicked off Caravan Talk forum when Gordon had one of his purges.

Used to read various car and caravan magazines in the supermarket while the wife was shopping but nowadays I'm required to give second opinion on potential purchases!!

I still subscribe to PCv. Hard copy and on line . Bailey Owners and Bailey Senator clubs. Caravan Talk. And , saddo , the VW Touareg Forum.
A lot of the people on these various Forums have saved me time and money over the years👏👏

I sometimes buy a What car and Caravan magazine. Caravan Talk, and Anglers Mail but not every week .

Plus 1 for getting kicked off Caravan Talk. Don’t know who did it but I always respected Gordon. Will not return out of principle.

We had motorhomes for 12-15 years, ended up towing a smart car on a trailer behind it, then moved a caravan about 8-9 years ago and have just traded the caravan in against a panel van conversion. Same types of holidays, just carried out in slightly different ways.

And I got very close to getting kicked off because I "offended" one of the moderators, He is no longer present on the forum, no great loss.

There was a mod "Grandpa Steve" who seemed to enjoy getting people kicked off. He is no longer on the forum.

Thats the very one that caused me a load of grief as well
He threw his teddies out of the pram because not only did I question something he stated as fact but I also posted proof he was wrong, so I got punished for "Questioning a moderator" and, at that time there was no way of appealing a mods decision/actions. After a while he changed his title to "Stevan" I often wondered why!

The annoying thing with CT now is since having Forum Assistants they keep moving people’s posts to other sections. When going back to a topic it has gone. ie if a post has been made regards a certain make of caravan regarding a problem specific with that caravan you then find it is then in a general section somewhere. Far better before they appointed these Assistants.

I tend to agree with birdman. Perhaps a brief note from whoever moves a post to make a new thread could say so in the original thread, and provide a link to the new one??
Just a thought.

I think I now to which mod you are referring. Reminds me about the CAMC forum. Mention "dogs" or perhaps awnings" etc and the post was moved onto a thread several years old you were told to look in that thread for an answer to your post! Yeah, right who is going to scroll through probably over a thousand posts to see if your answer is hidden there somewhere.

Another one who uses CT, feels very different to this one, some regulars seem to get very excited about their pet peeves, my post ref cracked roof window ended up being locked as it descended into less than helpful discussion, overall I have found both forums helpful over the time I have used them,

Currently got a conversation going with a potentially very helpful repairer, due entirely to support and help from moderator Mel, wouldnt have got that without this forum.
