Been their worn the tee shirt, well busy and no dogs plus the usual high rip off prices in Cornwall, l stick to Norfolk now great weather, less crowds, no rip offs and wow that Holkham beach for the dogs to run on.

we were on pentewan last year. It does get busy and there can be groups of youths who get a bit " boistrous" after a few in the bar, but on the whole its a nice site.

Lots of evening entertainment in the bar up stairs , a pleasant veranda to sip your pimms on as the sun goes down. The beach is large and safe. Take your bikes or hire them in pentewan as there is a lovely and very safe bike ride along the old the clay train route.

The swimming pool is okay bu it can get crowded. Last year there was group running scuba lessons.

There is a local market, just up the road, a fantastic chi pshop in London.

It can get windy as its flat and come straight off the sea. If you get a beach front beach you get a wide views of the seas, but you can get other campers walking past your pitch to get to the beach.

Book it and go is my advice.

shop is in London Apprentice.... its a strange name but the south west is a bit odd anyway.

They won't take my dogs but three miles down the road at London Apprentice is River Valley Caravan Park, superb, lovely facilities ,indoor heated swimming pool and miles of dog walks.

Pentewan looks ok but it does have that "Butlins" look. Very strict security at entrance. Not for us I am afraid.

Cheers

Been there a few times. The 4 grandchildren loved it. The adults liked it. Yes it gets crowdy. But you should expect that. The last time we went 2 or 3 years ago we noticed that the beach had sloped quite dramatically. I agree about the chippie. shame about the dogs.
