I am considering changing my car in the coming months, but can anyone tell me how good this car is with the Elddis Avante 482, i currently have a 406 rapier hdi 90 and according to the website whattowcar mine is not up to the job infact the website tells me exactly what i would have said myself after towing to yorkshire and back.

Have towed with a 406 saloon, 2.2 lt and 136 BHP for several eyars. Van is an Archway/Swift wih MTPLM of 1140kgs (declared) and 1230 (possible).

It's great - plenty of power and will cruise all day in 5th gear at 60mph, only needing to change down for steepest hills. There is also sufficient power to pull out on motorway hills/slopes and overtake slower moving vehicles.
