Peugeot 607 2.2 HDI

hello mark,i would have thought it would be a cracking tow car, especally being a 2.2hdi.and also the kerb wieght.slightly different but my dad runs a c5 with a 2.2 hdi ,same engine as yours .with our van in tow 1200kgs loaded goes very well.has bags of torque. seth

I considered one of these the last time I changed my towcar. The main reason I passed on it was because of the low noseweight capacity. As I re-call it was only 60kg and the optimum noseweight for my current van is 95kg.

The nose weight,How do you find that out as my unit is a Hobby which max laden is 1500kg
If you haven't got the car then I start with the following:

As you can see I had remembered correctly it shows 60kg.

I also use Towsafe (used by many dealers) as a final check, but you pay per match so I get a feel for the car from the link above and then check it out at Towsafe.

The optimum value for your van is around 100kg assuming the van is fully laden. In my experience the further away from that value you get the more the van will feel "twitchy" when being towed.
