pickups

hello all,

being self employed and vat registered i was wondering what towing with a pick up truck like the nissan navara or the mitsubshi l200 is like. what are your views, they seam very practical an could tow most vans. would there be any problems on sites being strictly a commercial vehical.

Darren

I have a Isuzu Denver Rodeo 3.0 automatic, full leather & air con & cruise control, i treat mine as a five seater car with the capacity of chucking our dogs in the back, it tows our Hymer with a MTPLM of 1600kg with ease...

The lost stowage space in the back is now on the roof...

Mine does not look like a builders truck & We have never had a problem with access to a site.

Darren see CC tow car of the year awards on their web site, you have to be member to view, Mitsubishi L200 warrior had great write up and so did the basic L200.

l have the Shogun , bought it last year had a look at the L200 raging Bull well impressed, same has the warrior but more toys, have read they altered the suspension last year improves ride and towing on their pick ups.

Navara also had good write up.

Pickups, their prime purpose being load carriers, generally have a relatively hard rear suspension which can make their ride a little choppy, especially when driven solo. If you've never had one, I'd therefore recommend a test drive before parting with money.
