plastic cups

hi what are the best cups to get for the caravan i recently bought a set from a caravan shop and on using them one of them split in two, very scary as coffee went everywhere, the make of my cups where ,, quest , and only used once so am looking for an alternative ?

We have a Dad's and Mum's caravan mugs like these:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dads-Caravan-Fine-China-Gift/dp/B00DT4B9ZE
Work very well for us.

We also have the Ikea tempered glass plates, side plates and bowls from their Oftast range. 50p per unit, so a 6 piece set is Β£9, which is a fraction of the Corelle fancy stuff:

Something simply elegant about plain white, thin tempered glass.

We bought a set of mugs from a caravan shop, that are not to be used for hot drinks. After we opened the package the instructions said. We use them for snack pots such as peanuts, cheese bits etc

We had some (well known high street plastic and kitchen retailer) plastic mugs for rallies and one literally shattered as the water was poured in at flag one morning. Reported to trading standards on our return. Not sure what the outcome was but we got a sizeable voucher come through the post with a letter of apology. Details must have been given by trading standards as we didn't report it to the retailer directly.

Wot is:
1 Flag ?
2 Morning ?

Proper ceramic, Union Jack mugs from Sainsburys, but two Glass, Expresso cups, . Sod the weight for those. πŸ˜›

I have a (claimed to be) 'higher ' quality melamine dinner set, most of it is OK to be fair, but the mugscups are decidedly resistant to reasonable washing regimes re stain removal.

In hindsight, I am keen to purchase the IKEA offerings soon.

Stained dishware does not appeal given the very low cost in purchase price comparison, there is a weight benefit to the melamine stuff, but not of an outstanding difference me-thinks.

Some people do not like drinkingeating from melamine, not me per-se, I could drink oot of a clatty cloot if it looked clean

Morning is the thing you see a lot of with children and dogs.

Flag is usually the final meet up of a rally (normally in the morning without alcohol) where club announcements are made and the rally marshals are thanked for their time and effort and given their plaques for running the rally. The flag is then taken down to signify the end of the rally.

Our plastic cups came from ASDA, they do seem to pick up tea stains but clean easily as well. No other problems though.

Like some other posts I have given up on plastic or melamine cups as the insides quickly became a coffee colour and resisted cleaning, even after soaking with sterident! Now continue to use the plastic plates and bowls from the set but use a couple of bone china mugs for hot drinks.

Some folk just don't like drinking from plastic mugs - personally I don't mind melamine - so that's my choice for the caravan - some of the classic caravans had there own bone china tea sets

IKEA Sanning mug
The trouble with that is, you have to enter an IKEA store to buy them, presumably. I think they are what Hell will look like, my Hell anyway (I'll let you know when I get there  )

Can you not buy them online and have them delivered? πŸ˜›

Or just go in the 'market place' part of the Ikea store, usually on the ground floor and accessible from the car park, even if you go round the wrong way πŸ˜›

Or treat yourself to a good value meal one evening in the cafe, after the crowds have gone. πŸ˜›

As lots of others have already said, we have a couple of china mugs and the ikea oftast plates and bowls, the ikea stuff is great and brilliant value for money.
