Plastic Tops on Rock Pegs

Hi, Can anyone advise me as to where I can buy just the plastic tops to rock pegs?

I have accumulated dozens of unuasble rock pegs now, having managed to break the plastic tops off whilst extracting them !!

Locally, I can only buy new peg + plastic top together.

It's not so much the cost of a complete peg that bothers me, but the pile of scrap metal that's growing in my garage !

( maybe I should re-cycle them ! )

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Did the same as David's mate and bought large flat washers, I even managed to get stainless steel! Solved the problem without the expense of buying new.

Must admit I have never seen just the tops for sale. Suppose the supplier would not make as much profit just selling the tops?.

Regards Nidge

Tip - use a claw hammer to extract pegs, gripping the metal shaft not the plastic top - I have never broken a top yet and that's removing them from really tough hardstanding!

you can't get replacement tops, unfortunately.either buy washers as as been said,or in my case i got a mate who's a sheet metelworker to make me some exactly the same, which were absolutely brill,no more broken tops
