I drive a 2015 Nissan Qashqai 1.5 dci Tekna, and tho i dont yet own a caravan i am intending to dive in within the next few months. My question is can it tow a Bailey Senator Wyoming twin axle. This particular van has caught my eye and no end of asking questions elsewhwere can give me a definitive answer; so i`ve come to the place i should have come to first, the experts at Practical Caravan. Please give me a clue?

Having recently done extensive checking and without a clue how much that Bailey weighs I would say it's a definate NO. Not even close I shouldn't think.

Hi Juvetino.
We have a Wyoming and so far 8 years on nothing has tempted us to move on.
It is a wide long and heavy unit. Your Qashqai would suffer a very early death.
However.
We use our big 4x4 for caravan hols and SWMBO 50 mpg car for everything else.
If you only caravan part time you can do sorn on the tug.

Before towing you need to check your licence. If you passed your test from 1997 onwards you are limited to a gross train weight of 3,500 which would rule out any twin axle caravan unless you pass the C+E test. Before that time you should have a licence that enables you to tow caravans but do check it.
As with the others I am afraid the Quashqai is simply not up to the job.
