The one we have is quite big so would probably keep it in the awning for the cold drinks milk etc....

Might be best if you actually "see one in the flesh"to determine which size would suit you best.

My neighbour has one and he freezes 2 or 3 ice packs at home and puts them in before they set off to give it a bit of a "kick start" with cooling

We travelled with a 40 litre Halfords box for years when the kids came with us. Worked very well. Only issue we had was the cigarette lighter in the 240v transformer melted but that was easily got round. In the dead of night they are surprisingly noisy. We noticed it when it was in the awning just under our open bedroom window.

We had a 100 quart Coleman Extreme non powered but brilliant insulation and you could sit on it. Used a lot in North America when people go hunting. Beer out. Moose/ bear back 😹 Used it all over France and down to the Mediterranean in high summer.

The "cheap" coolboxes are Peltier effect which aren't efficient, and they generally run at around a constant 5 A. The Waeco CF range are compressor driven, very quiet, and my 25litre averages 0.8A draw

The peltier effect ones also use a fan which tend to be quite noisey, even in an awning you can hear some of them indoors, and neighbours in the caravan next door. You certainly would not enjoy them indoors.

Good buy.

We have had one of these for a few years and it’s been great. These will never meet the cooling provided by compressor fridges, but have the advantages of being much cheaper and have a far greater capacity. Yes, the pettier effect ones do have an irritating fan, but the larger Halfords one is adjustable. We use it in the awning and turn it down at night time so it works well for us.

We have one from Lidl, had it about 10 years, went wrong just before I think it was a 3 year warranty, they sent out new lid with all the gubbbings and even upgraded it to the adjustable fan, which we also turn down at night. Keep it in the awning for my beer!!
Has the 12 volt and 240v

We have a 40 litre Mobicool which we bought in France, about 5 years ago about €100 , 12 volt and mains, two speed, I think it drops the temp by about 20c below ambient temp. At max cooling.
